Hollow Veins

 Hollow veins drink any drainage from
Sewage pipes beneath the spine.
Unsated, unseeing, scuffing within the skull
Thirst for meaning and knowledge screams
Beneath the shrinking skin and within the
Scuffing skull, encased in parchment and
Imprisoned in a dry thought.

Dried Veins

A few too many things on my mind,

And few too little things in my heart;

All rests on the blood in the eyes to be carried

To the deepest bowels of “no room at all”,

The tallest highs of “Nevermore”.
